The top picture is how we start our adventure. I know this is a redneck way of taking a boat to the water- but it's about the only way to get to the water beyond the woods behind our house! Besides the kids are young enough to think this is normal! This was our first trip on the Mighty Little Sioux. OK, so the water was so low that we kept running into sand bars! Marty and Jena did get a chance to do some fishing while Jonathan kept us on track with the oar. Mommy had fun taking the pictures- what a beautiful day! Jonathan really isn't much into the boat ride yet, so he had fun later making hills in the sand. Thanks to the Lord for a perfect afternoon!
